February 2012 Meeting of the KC AMS/NWA

May 22, 2011 Joplin Tornado--Overview and Decision Support Services
Andy Boxell and Jason Schaumann - NWS Springfield, MO

Please join us in the first meeting of the 2012 Kansas City Chapter of the AMS/NWA. It’s been a while since our last meeting, so the first order of business after consuming delicious BBQ will be for our current set of officers to open nominations to elect a new suite of chapter officers for the year. If you’re interested, please don’t be shy and volunteer!! Once that’s completed, we have the privilege of hearing about the May 2011 Joplin tornado from a first-hand perspective of two meteorologists from the NWS office in Springfield, MO.

Hope you can attend and help us kick off a new season of our chapter, which is one of the longest continuously active chapters in the AMS.
